Epilogue
Jonathan and I switched houses again a week after my Valentine’s Day party. He was upset that I didn’t stay with him, claiming I could have the entire third floor as my own if I wanted.
While it was a tempting idea, I told him that just because we were a love connection didn’t mean that he’s off the hook for courting me properly.
“You want romantic dinners out, flowers, and exotic vacations?” he asked.
“No way,” I told him. “I want hikes, camping, and Pop-Tarts.”
“Emily …”
“And boxed macaroni and cheese,” I added.
We’re currently negotiating all of the details, but I have every confidence we’re going to work it out.
In the meantime, Sky and Steven are officially a couple and so are Abril and Tony. Three other couples formed at the Valentine’s Day party and I’m doing my best to make sure even more find each other.
Lucy didn’t show up to the party and she’s been uncharacteristically nice to me ever since she found out about me and Jonathan. I don’t trust her for a minute, but I’m relieved that she’s not currently gunning for me.
Frederic is no longer mad at me for not selling Jonathan one of his listings, but only because he expects me to pick up all kinds of new clients now that I’m dating a movie mogul. Little does he know that I have no intention of courting business for the sake of business. More so than ever, I’m dedicating my profession to helping people find their soulmates.
Even though I should probably offer Frederic my services, I think I’m going to start with my new friends, Jonathan’s household staff. If we’re ultimately going to turn his mansion into the perfect family home, I’d like to make sure my new family has love in their lives, as well.
